Got distracted by Soap Twitter, sorry. There's a storyline that makes no sense on the soap, I'm watching and I felt the need to discuss.
Also got distracted by phone calls to mother.
So this will be brief.
Work was stressful. I'm still trying to figure out the procedures for a new project I'm working on.
On the way to work this morning, it occurred to me that there are no positive or happy endings to any of the stories in the Bible. The book that is the so-called religious foundation of a portion of our society - is bloody depressing. [This occurred to me because Jesus Christ Superstar songs randomly popped up on my phone for the millionth time, and I was too lazy to switch it to something else.]
Even Exodus doesn't end well - they are lost for about 100 years in the desert.
Mother: 40 years, Moses is still alive.
ME: I thought he died before then? And didn't he live well into his 100s?
The Bible also tends to lean heavily towards hyperbole. [I'm having more issues with word syntax lately and homonyms...I don't know why. I had to correct five errors in this post alone.]
Want to read a violent, apocalyptic, depressing book? Read the Bible. It has torture, rape, plagues, wars, genocides, and the four horsemen of the apocalypse - where can you go wrong?
I also thought about human history - it's far from pleasant.
I'm rather lucky actually. I don't know what I was expecting.

Cat Valente posted on Twitter that food has become a problem. Everything tastes like death or garbage, and she's hunting for something other than meal replacement shakes to eat. She's apparently a sufferer of long COVID.
I told this to mother.
Mother: We obviously didn't get it - since that did not happen.
Me: It could have been a mild case? We're both boosted after all.
I suggested she try bone broth, but I doubt she heard me.

Do not argue with self-righteous folks on Twitter - it's a bit like throwing jello at a wall, you'll get no where. Actually do not argue with anyone on a soap box on social media.

Pesky family member, aka Uncle S from Michigan, got upset with me posting Wordl posts on FB. He told me to filter them out or hide them, because he didn't care to see them. I retorted that he could always scroll on by or ignore it - that's what I do.
I reported this to mother.
Me: I think he's nuts.
Mother: Are you sure he wasn't drunk? According to your Aunt, he posts drunk a lot on FB.
See? This is why I post rarely on FB - I have drunk and crazy family members posting on it.

Meanwhile..
Me: Soap Twitter reported the legacy character being killed off is Abby from Days. [pause] They then stated that it wasn't a problem because no one stays dead on Days, and the character would probably be brought back soon. After all her father has been brought back to life about 10 times, twice he had all his organs donated, and he's been fully resurrected.
Mother (cackles with laughter): Oh I can't wait to tell my sister that, she loves Days.
Me: They were talking about on Soap Twitter. One poster even asked if we could take soap opera writer's seriously regarding character deaths any longer. The retort was - "well not on Days."
Mother: Or GH for that matter.
Me: Apparently Days has outdone GH in this department...which is kind of saying something actually.

We got more snow than I thought we did. I went outside - and thought, hmm, this looks more like ten inches than say five inches. Apparently it was even more out on Long Island. Co-workers out there were in shoveling hell.
BYT and BB managers wimped out, BB was still shoveling his way out. Boss also wimped out. We all agreed that the least they could have done was tell us that we could stay home and work remotely too.
But alas, no. I didn't mind - I have great boots with wonderful traction. It wasn't too cold. And I had to go grocery shopping - even if the shelves had practically be cleared. It was harder to find stuff than anticipated.
Meanwhile on the commute to work there were three kids and their mother(?) traveling with out masks. (The mother looked like an older sister.) The hardest part of the pandemic is traveling to and from places. Again - it would be nice if I could teleport.
Here, have a picture:

I couldn't help snorting over this. Of all the things to be put out about, Wordle bothers him.
