I think the nominating committee is trying to broaden the appeal of the R&R HoF by bringing in R&B singers and country and hip hop artists. It's...admirable, I guess. But you'll never hear Dionne Warwick, Dolly Parton or Eminem on any rock station anywhere.
Would I love to hear a station where "Jolene," "The Windows of the World" and "Stan" could be played back to back? Hell yeah. But that station doesn't exist. It's kind of fake for the R&R HoF to pose as being that broad minded.
