Ah. The situation is a lot different in Jersey - rents a lot higher, a lot less included, property to rent a lot scarcer, landlords complete arseholes, rental properties in poor condition. You can barely rent a hole in the ground without paying over 2/3 of your pay, here. It's actually cheaper to pay a mortgage than rent - if you can afford the deposit. And I enjoy painting and gardening!
