I mean - maybe when you get to that age, there will be some massive advancement in Medical Schtuff and you will be able to get new eyeballs or whatnot and have perfect spatial vision and you will decide "hey, driving is something I want to do now!"
But that hardly seems like something to count on - and so it totally makes sense that you should be planning for *your* particular future, based on *your* needs and capabilities.
Ugh at people who cannot comprehend that someone else's situation may not be the same as theirs.
