You're quite right re: Sanditon -- apparently I was confusing James with Tom Bateman, who starred in Beecham House. However Leo Suter, who played Stringer, the aspiring architect interested in Charlotte in S1, was in Beecham House as the younger brother. (And he too is conveniently written off as having headed to London in S2).
