I guess it depends on the crime stories? I'm talking about true crime or serial killer stories - where the culprit is often not found. Or the focus is on the killer not the detectives hunting them down.
I like them when it focuses on the detective figuring out the crime, although I did burn out on those in the 1990s and early 00s. Saw and read way too many. (I basically binged on them.)
