The US is very "prudish", and "hypocritical" about it.
I don't know why exactly. If it was the influence of the puritans or the orthodox religions, jewish and otherwise. Or just the cultures who came here.
But the prudishness and hypocrisy has resulted in an uptick in sexual violence, and objectification that isn't as prevalent elsewhere.
