Breyers is easily the best commercial brand out there. As you said, pure ingredients, no additives, a clean, pure taste. It's the only brand of vanilla that truly satisfies this chocoholic.
I do enjoy Edy's (on occasion) if I want to enjoy something decadent with chocolate chunks and nuts. (I also have a love of Good Humor chocolate eclair bars carried over from childhood.)
My wife loves Häagen-Dazs pints with lots of fruit flavors.
I could take or leave Turkey Hill or Blue Bunny. (Adequate, in a pinch.) If we want to splurge as a family, we'll head over to Cold Stone Creamery and buy a variety six-pack of Flying Saucer type ice cream cookie sandwiches (with sprinkles).
You know...before typing this, I had no idea I had such specific tastes in ice cream.
