Your mom's Seattle plans make sense. She's got to be getting the sense that time is short for people in her age group, and if not now when? It depends on what's important to each person.
That's a shame about her friend the singer. So much illness cropping up already and we're not even fully into the holidays. We live in a small city and so many kids have RSV that they're having to give them space in adult Covid wards. And it's harder to protect kids than adults.
