Bookshelves that I'm flirting with...
1. Spine Standing Bookcase

2. 6 Tier or 8 tier Tree Bookshelf

3. Side standing bookshelf

All require assembly though. Some are easier than others. All time consuming. I suppose I could hire a handyman to do it.
I've been procrastinating buying new bookshelves for years - why? Assembly. I'm afraid of the assembly. Pathetic, but there it is.
It could be worse - I could have them still in boxes under my bed, or all in the ratty old coffee table. I can't let go of them - some are signed copies, and I've not read a lot of the books.
Thoughts? Dare I ask? Kind afraid to ask...

I guess it would depend on the type of books you have - they do all seem to be geared toward taller/bigger books - rather than wee paperbacks.

Most flat-pack stuff goes quite smoothly these days, it's been quite some while since I was missing a part or anything. Maybe give it a go and hire someone only if you find it's poorly made, like if the holes aren't lining up. Maybe you could consider a second once you've figured the assembly of the first.

I have two small bookshelves (as you may or may not remember) which I'm not ready to replace. And I'm looking for something attractive to complement them, and reduce clutter. I'm developing a pile of notebooks and books in an armchair.
Also flirting with well a build it yourself cube shelf. Which is hard to explain...
Go HERE - just afraid it will look too cheap.

Also, depending on the condition of the boxes in terms of dust and damp, they might be better off boxed, because books that are out collect a lot of dust.

And I have large books, not just tiny paperbacks.
And, no room for boxes. Small one bedroom apartment - no storage areas.
