Well there is something to be said for taking a break from the job hunt and listening to more upbeat music.
Also having a clear blue sunny sky - first in three days it seems. Yep, I'm highly sensitive to the weather. (Note to self - do not move to a rainy climate - so, guess the Pacific Northwest is out. )

Okay Quizes:

This actually fits, cool and weird. Explains why I took to oyceter's reproduction of Neil Gaiman's Morpheus Lord of Dreams for my icon.

The Artist, or OZ
You are Oz! Or, Type Four of the Enneagram's
personality structure: THE ARTIST. You are
creative, intuitive, introverted and
depressive.

Also makes sense.

Neutron
Neutron -- You don't take sides, you just sort of
hang out and blend into the crowd. If someone
lets you loose though, you can cause some
serious damage. If you are arround too many
other neutrons you get bored and start to
decay.

What kind of subatomic particle are you?

No sense whatsoever.

Is it just me or are these quiz things not for the indecisive amongst us? I had a tough time making up my mind on some of those questions. And the OZ one was wicked long and hard.

Oh one last comment - congratulate me - I'm actually reading something outside of fanfic! East of Eden by John Steinbeck, much better than expected. (Perhaps it will inspire my muse?) Has a very nice paragraph about human monsters or what we'd call sociopaths. OTOH...the writing leaves a bad taste in my mouth...there's the oddest feeling of misogyny between the pages of this novel. As if men are the only ones who can shoot forth into the world full of wonder and women, drab weak, manipulative beings. Very odd. I never thought of Steinbeck as misogynist or chauvinistic. He certainly didn't seem to be in Grapes of Wrath. Yet in East of Eden...maybe it's just my imagination? (It's incredibly weird for me to notice this kind of thing by the way, since I'm usually annoyingly oblivious to it.) Be interesting to see if any of the women in my book club notice it. (Assuming I finish it in time.)
