May. 4th, 2005 07:31 pmWell, I got a paragraph written. One paragraph. Not bad. Wasn't allowed to come online tonight until I wrote something - my bargain with myself. It's not a bad paragraph. But the story is moving really slowly. Maybe because I'm using so much of my own life and own experiences to give it form? Not sure.
Difficult day. Slow. Somewhat boring. Lots of paper work. But I won my wrestling matches. I'm actually good at that, apparently. Always have been. All it requires is persistence and an unwillingness to budge. Pit-bull mentality, I call it.
Been debating writing up a little taste compatibility meme - as a means of seeing if there's anyone out there who has compatible interests. Do we click?
Course, one could argue that this is what the whole friending journals deal is all about. You friend the journals, you click with. (Which isn't entirely true in my case.) So what do you frigging need a taste compatibility meme for anyways? Plus - isn't that what most of these damn meme's and quizzes people have been doing are? So - redundant. Also what the heck would I put on it?
I keep changing my frigging mind. So why? I guess, because I want to start dating again soon. Get out there, you know. And part of getting out there is figuring out who you are compatible with. Assuming there's anyone. I'm starting to wonder. Feeling a little doomed at the moment.
Course might help if I figured out my own interests. Hence the meme idea. Just have to come up with one. And it's almost time for Lost, one of the two shows I was actually looking forward to this week. The other one was Veronica Mars - not bad. I had figured it out ahead of time. Did like the little twist at the end that Logan, still the homme fatal, no matter how you slice it. Now, let's see if I'm right about who killed Lily Kane? Lost is a tad less predictable.
Also the acting is a notch better for some of the actors. The acting is just slightly off on Mars. Can't quite put my finger on how, just seems forced somehow. Okay off.
