You ever read or scroll through your flist and decide, lovely posts, but don't really want to say anything. Just sit here silently, unobserved, taking it in.
Pondering? That was me tonight, taking in.

Considering working on Chapter 8, but tired. So may not. May just watch tv and read Harry Potter. Finished Chapter 1 last night before bed. Laughed my head off. The Harry Potter books really make me laugh - that's why I call them Happy Books. Also why I like them to drag out. Haven't laughed this much during a book since Terry Prachett's The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rats. Rowlings has a sly wit that I tend to appreciate, nice and low key, subtle. Some people read Harry for the characters or romantic relationships, I read it for the humor. The book makes me giggle and cackle.

Still plowing my way through the George RR Martin, which is a good story but a tad overwritten. A couple of characters I'd like to smack over the head - luckily one of them got his head lopped off, so don't have to deal with him anymore. I suppose I should be sad he's dead, he was a good honorable man - but, sigh, also a complete nit-wit. If anyone deserves to get his head chopped off for being a nit-wit, it was this guy. The best character and smartest in the book by far is the dwarf Tyrion, who I wish the writer would spend more time on.

Frustrating day at work - had to wrestle with numerous different people. Basically its the same old story, however you want to cut it - one guy wants this, the other one wants that. Neither are willing to budge. So you hunt ways around the obstacle. Usually the thing they aren't willing to budge on is rather silly to the objective observer, but is life and death to them. People, sigh, can't live with them, can't live without them. I spend a lot of time laughing my head off at things. Easier than raging over them and better for my stomach.
