Three pieces of advice:

1. Do not send anti-Palin political emails to relatives who are Pro-Palin and Pro-McCain or co-workers or friends for that matter, assuming of course you want to keep them and do not want them spamming you with anti-Obama emails. [Wales did this to her sister, a social conservative who religiously listens to Rush Lumbaugh, is a proud member of the NRA, and voted for Bush twice and would vote for him two more times if she could. She also lives in Kansas - Kansas hasn't voted Democrate in a Presidential election since its conception. I don't think it knows how. On a plus note as far as the electoral college is concerned, it doesn't matter all that much. Someone wisely did not give Kansas that many electoral votes. I know I used to live there. If you vote in Kansas, it's a bit like a tree falling but since no one is there, no sound is heard. Alaska is pretty much the same way. Interesting antedote - learned that Obama's second choice for VP, after Biden, was the current female governor of Kansas. Now that would have made for an interesting race.)

2. Do not respond in disagreement to a lj post or a blog or even a letter writer that is ranting about something, regardless of what it may be. Your response however calm and well meaning will come across as patronizing and they will want to shoot you for it. [Came very close to doing this twice tonight. But was quick to push the back button. Yes, I can learn from my mistakes. Also, I'm well aware of the fact that I shoot people for doing this as well. Sucks being human, doesn't it?]

3. Do not post on the internet or email when you are in a very bad mood and want to kick people. [Which is the frame of mind I am in tonight.]
