I married a man who grew up in So. Ca. and hates the beach. Said he's had all the sand in his underwear he ever cares to. LOL So, I haven't been to a beach in decades. We do love the moountains, so that's our favorite place to vacation if we aren't traveling out of the country.
I worked as a free lance editor for several years for a niche publishing company that does m/m contemporary romances. These are original books (to the best of my knowledge) not reworked hetero romance stories. Maybe some of them were - I'd never thought of that at the time, but I think most were original ideas. I'm not a fan of romance novels, so it was easy for me to edit them objectively without getting too caught up in the boy-meets-boy-boy-loses-boy-boys get back together aspects. However, there were more than a few with real plots - usually mysteries of some sort - that were quite enjoyable. It's interesting that they are now on Amazon. I'm wondering if they are from that company or some other publisher.
