I agree with you about how to spend reading time. I never understood the point of reading for prestige. That said I do think it's valuable to get out of your comfort zone with reading. But that could be done a few times a year, it doesn't have to be your main source of books.
I look forward to watching Red White and Blue when I get Prime again. You're right about the sea change there during our lifetime.
I suspect part of the problem is that while there's no law against it, there's also no law enforcing it either, meaning that the nudists get outnumbered. Different when they're in private areas.
