Survived the week and am strongly considering giving up on this stupid flat search. Although, did
compulsively search a bit tonight, that is until I got sent what the closing costs would be, and thought, ack, ack, and that was the end of that. May have to take some time out during the next two weeks to do a serious assessment of my financials.

Spent the week having conversations like this:

I don't know about you? But I'm taking the weekend off from condo searching and all related stresses. Tomorrow - off to see The Eagle with CW, which oddly enough made Entertainment Weekly's Must List (not that means anything - lots of things make that list which bewilder me). It was between The Eagle and The King's Speech. We decided that we were both in the mood for the non-Oscar-worthy movie with hot guys and lots of fighting. I'm guessing she's had the same week I did.

And Sunday, to Unitarian Church - to see amongst other things the English Sword Dancers. And then talk about "play" with a bunch of intellectuals. Don't ask. ;-)

Monday - will most likely catch up on more tv. As if I don't have enough on my DVR, Being Human decided to start on BBC America - except like Merlin - it's not listing itself as "new", so I have to hunt it down each week and record, it's either that or accidentally record the marathon and all repeat episodes (which I so don't have room for). You think you're a tv whore? Folks unless you have more than 10 tv shows saved to DVR weekly, you are NOT a tv whore. Eclectic taste or dilettante taste can be a disadvantage. I can't make up my mind between tv shows. May have to kick Breaking Bad to the curb - no frigging time to watch it, it's cluttering up my DVR (ten unwatched episodes saved) and it's just not exactly comfort tv folks. It's a bit like the visual version of rap music - angry tv. And when you spend all week having the conversation above - except you're Costello (well most of the time) and the other guy's Abbott, you really don't want to watch rap tv. You want to watch well easy listening, alternative rock, indie, show tunes, and opera. It's a thing. I think the only people into Breaking Bad - are well not watching that much new tv shows and aren't having Abbott and Costello discussions all week long.

Rather liked this quote from Being Erica, which I watched this morning: It's so hard living in the present because your mind wants to live someplace else, anywhere, everywhere but here. Which is the only place you are supposed to be.

Yep, pretty much.

Although Erica makes me feel old. She kept going on and on about how ancient 42 is. Sigh. Trust me, it's not ancient. 80 yes. 42 is mid-life. Get a grip. Is it just me or is 90% of our entertainment aimed at people below the age of 35 - which is actually a small portion of the population, considering average age is actually 45/46? While the writers are actually between 40-50 at the moment - my generation wasn't into having kids early. Figured we'd wait, sew some wild oats first.

Watched Vamp Diaries last night. When that show decides to take off, it REALLY takes off. Started out a bit slow, but picked up speed. Plot twist upon plot twist.
