Aggravating day. Not helped by the chai latte that I had yesterday afternoon, which I'm guessing had glutens in it - because the reaction I had, sort of fits that. bloating, stomach cramps, gastro-intestinal distress, lasts about 24 hours, with a bit of a rash on arms, shakiness, and a headache.). Why a chai latte tea mix would have wheat, barely, or rye in it is beyond me. The effects of a gluten reaction can last 24-48 hours, the equivalent of a mild yet highly irritating stomach bug.

LJ is down because of a Distribution Denial Of Service Attack (DDoS), again. I got tired of trying to figure out what the acronyme meant and looked it up on wikipedia. It's basically a ping attack - where someone out there decides to ping your server with mass packets of data.

Wiki's definition:One common method of attack involves saturating the target machine with external communications requests, such that it cannot respond to legitimate traffic, or responds so slowly as to be rendered effectively unavailable. In general terms, DoS attacks are implemented by either forcing the targeted computer(s) to reset, or consuming its resources so that it can no longer provide its intended service or obstructing the communication media between the intended users and the victim so that they can no longer communicate adequately.

It's probably a good thing I can't read the comments to my last entry or interact on LJ today. I'm incredibly irritable.
Want to kick things. It's partly weather related. Biometric pressure is fluctuating like crazy, and the air is heavy with fog and rain. Makes me edgier than usual. Add the gluten mishap to that...and well, one cranky little shadowkat flexing her claws and trolling for a fight.

Just finished watching Being Human Episode 7, which is the climatic episode. Well written.
Drew everything together. Also reinstated why in some cases I prefer British tv to US - Herrick is not played by an actor who looks buff and vicious, but by a character actor who truly looks like your Uncle Billy. This makes Being Human in some respects more real and scarier than most American Gothic Supernatural tales.

Yes, I suppose you can say it is talky. But actually this season is far less so than the last two and better paced. And talky obviously doesn't bother me that much, well unless it's the two and a half hour film My Dinner with Andre...that was all the rage when I was in college, but I kept falling asleep during.
