Oct. 27th, 2011 07:06 pmFor people interested in the OWS movement (Occupy Wall Street) - here's some reliable sites where the OWS speak for themselves and not through the filter of the national news media, which still isn't quite sure what to make of them. NY1 is just reporting their activities and government's response. While the Metro - is doing more or less the same.
http://occupiedmedia.com/ - This the Occupied Wall Street Journal, with articles by the protesters.
Here's a Facebook page with a listing of all the movements around the country:

The Facebook page details their plan of action and what they are about fairly well. Better than the news has.
And here: http://www.freespeech.org/
Apparently they are doing more than just occupying now. There are websites offering email addresses of CEO's and information on how to Occupy Corporate Web Sites on the internet and protest on the net. This is a lot more organized than I thought, with a very broad approach. This week they marched on St. Vincents protesting the lack of decent health care benefits. They also marched down Broadway and around City Hall - I think that was yesterday? Not to be outdone, there is an Occupy Albany, the seat of the NY State Government, where the Governor lives, along with our State Senate and Congress. I hope someone has donated a shelter and heat - it's supposed to get down to 36 degrees tonight and it is pouring.
