I was so tired by the end of the week...that I did nothing today but vegetate. I lay in bed until 9:30. I didn't eat until 11:30. I played on the net, watched tv, and made cookies. It is bitter cold outside by the way. Typical January weather. Actually it's probably not that cold, but we are used to 50s and 60s, so 20s and 30s feels frigid. And no, I can't figure out how to translate that into Celsius, sorry. Life would be so much easier if the US chose to use the same measurement system as the rest of the world.

Merlin was entertaining...but I liked last week's episode better for some reason. Had difficulty focusing today. My mind just wanted to pull in on itself. Little external stimulation.

Also saw Revenge, equally entertaining...but don't really have anything to say about it. Neither show inspires meta or posts in me for some reason. I don't know why?
Maybe because I've talked them to death with the Momster over the phone already?
The Momster doesn't have my issues with Morgana's characterization. She thinks it works and makes perfect sense based on established mythology. So...

Off to make dinner. Have no idea what I'll make. Was going to make turnip and leek soup, but I'm feeling lazy. That's too much work.

Should have made soup tonight, the steak caught in my teeth. So now my teeth hurt. Not sure if this should be filed under TMI or not.

In other news, I am now curious about a series entitled : Revolutionary Girl Utena - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Revolutionary_Girl_Utena.
From the wiki descriptions and the descriptions of the characters - this appears to be a Japanese Anime series based on a popular magna. The series's is about a young girl who dons boy attire and male mannerisms to emulate a kindly prince (Dios) who saved her when she was young and bereft with grief after losing both her parents. Her idealized vision of him leads her to want to be like him. She joins the academy, where people duel for the hand of a princess named Aynthe. Each engagement is broken when the duelists slay or slice off their opponents rose lapel, and acquire and destroy their rings. The goal is to possess Aynthe. Duelists are male and female. Aynthe's brother , Aiko, the head of the student council and The prince - is the closest thing to an antagonist in the story. He has two sides - one is Dios, and one is Aiko. In some versions of the story, he seduces Utena and attempts to make her his princess - she must choose between her lover, who she believes is Dios and her friend Aynthe. In the end of one version she sacrifices herself for Aynthe..and is let go from the academy. Aynthe now free - sets off to find her.

Rather fascinating. Reminds me oddly of once upon a time in some of the themes. But a hard story to get a hold of, which is true of most cult or non-mainstream stuff. I honestly think I love this stuff because I have a masochistic streak.
