(no subject)

Instead of bugging my flist with updates on my mad reading binges...I have Good Reads! I can update at will! And at work too! It's a great site for book geeks.

Current one - After the Night by Linda Howard - is a Southern Gothic Romance, old-style, no paranormal. (I got burned out on vampires and werewolves and zombies and ghosts about a year ago..gee, I wonder why?) It's a bit silly. The writing started out okay but is sliding down hill into purple prose territory. But still fun. The writer however is a bit lazy on character names or a bit obvious, not sure which. We have Faith Devlin Hardy, Gray, Guy, Mr. Pleasant, and Mr. Bible. Mr. Bible is a real estate agent. Mr. Pleasant is a private eye. And yes, dear reader, I am chuckling.
