1. Before I forget...have you heard of this: The World's Largest or Longest Yard Sale - it is 690 miles long and extends from Michigan to Alabama. Along route 127. To put this in perspective?
Imagine a yard sale from Norway to Spain. Only in the US, I can't imagine any other culture doing this. But I could be wrong.

2. I'm still dipping into the Olympics when I have time. Don't a lot of the time. Also depends on what is on NBC at the time. I have 0 interest in any sport with a ball involved, and find the cross-country sports deadly dull. But I love the gymnastics, swimming, track, and diving events. Always have.

Ans yes, NBC's coverage continues to suck - it's disjointed, jumps all over the place, and
has annoying commentary. Can we give it to another network?

3. Am somewhat impressed with Sherry Thomas as a romance novelist, she breaks rules and does gender flips. Also really shows sex as a battle ground, but not quite how it is usually done. The romance at the center of Not Quite a Husband reminds me a little of Buffy and Spike. He wants to make love to her, she's afraid of showing emotion and pulls back. She's shut herself down emotionally, cut off all feeling. He's all feeling. He's basically in the traditional girl role. Is probably the most unconventional romance novelist I've read to date.
