Walked to all the way to Brooklyn Bridge Park (Dumbo) and back this morning. Equivalent of 4-5 miles or 2 hours. Did stop and had a mimosa (which was expensive and served in a small plastic cup) at the Brooklyn Bridge Wine and Beer Garden. Then treated myself to some gourmet chocolate at the Chocolate Room. Now treating the footsies to a cold jacuzzi foot bath courtesy of Rite Aid.

Weight Watchers...going okay. Been eating more fruit and veggies and less meat as a result of it. Also less sweets. And more pop corn. Have decided to start a WW blog, because I like blogging as you all know. I blog therefore I am. Prefer blogging to email or text-messaging. Despise text-messaging. Text messaging is for people who hate to write and like to make up their own indecipherable language with a cliquish group of friends.

Finished watching Dallas. Probably won't tune in next year. Too repetitive. Also I'm finding that I don't like Bobby and Christopher that much, and they are protagonists.
JR and John Ross are the villains. I'm rooting for the wrong characters, this is not going to end well. Doesn't help that the actors playing the villains are slightly better than the actors portraying the heroes. Note to writers - if you want to like your protagonists, you have to find decent actors and write them better. Otherwise, I'm going to watch something else.

Dallas was never a very good soap opera. Daytime soaps tend to be better not to mention more satisfying than prime-time soaps, mainly because they have more time to build characters and tend to be a little less regulated by network execs.

Also watched the season finale of The Closer - it was okay. Somewhat predictable.
I liked the character evolution of Brenda and her reasons for leaving Major Crimes made perfect sense. I also was pleased that in the end it was her decision to leave, she wasn't just forced out or fired. And that she took her right-hand man, Lt. Gaberial with her.
Provided a nice sense of closure. I won't stick around for Major Crimes, lost interest with the series long before the Closer ended. I think I've burned out on this particular trope. That said, the Momster is trying to persuade me to try NCIS. Apparently its characters actually evolve and its not as grisely as the other series. Also Jamie Lee Curtis has joined the cast as a love interest for Mark Harmon. (Mark Harmon...sigh, I used to have a signed photo of him on my dorm room door in college, sad but true.)
