I don't normally do this sort of meme...but on a whim, I did, and well...

Go to the closest book to you. Turn to page 206. The first sentence explains your love life.

The closest book to me was Ruth Rendell's "A Sight for Sore Eyes", and the first sentence on page 206 is:

"For God's sake, don't use that word again!"

[Can't say this says much for my love life. Yet, it is oddly accurate. Apparently all my romance novels are tucked inside my Kindle, out of sight.]

Speaking of books, currently reading Leviathan Wakes - it's a space opera, and a thriller. Sort of reminds me of Babylon 5 meets Bladerunner with a dash of Resident Evil and Farscape thrown in for good measure. Sooo...if you liked the politics and world building of Babylon 5, the noirish mystery and atmosphere of Bladerunner, complete with cynical world-weary cop, and the corporate hijinks and zombies of Resident Evil - plus the crew on the run bit from Farscape - you'll love these books.
Leviathan Wakes apparently won the Hugo. And it's part of an on-going series complete with novellas. And...Syfy is turning it into a 10 part miniseries.

Still can't get the dang CD out of my Mac Book Pro Disc Drive - and I have literally tried everything including putting a paperclip in the slit next to the drive. Appears, I'll be either making a trip to the repair shop or phoning one sometime this week.

My mother is going in for knee surgery on Tuesday. She's getting a knee replacement to go with her hip replacement. Fingers crossed that this goes better than the hip replacement. Her arthritis is so bad, that they have to replace the knee. Her biggest worry right now is my Dad getting her there and back. Hope it works out okay. I can't help - too far away. I'm in NYC, my parents are in Hilton Head, SC, and my brother is in Maui, Hawaii. What can I say, we're a wee bit spread out.
