May. 15th, 2018 08:48 pm1. Someone is looking for an insane historical romance novel.. You need to read the plot summary and then the blogger's response to it.
The gist? Heroine ends up on boat with lusty male captain, who keeps accosting her. They end up stranded on desert island. While she's suffering and building a shelter, he discovers paradise on the other side of the island, but decides not to tell her about it and make her suffer...because she keeps refusing his lovely self. They eventually fall in love. (REALLY ?) And he shows her the other side of the island. Then her brother, who has escaped from slavery rescues them. But the hero is jealous and abandons her...even though she's pregnant with his kid. Eventually he returns and they live happily ever after.
Requester: I need to find this book! I've been hunting every where! Please find, I've almost lost all hope!!! I love it.
Blogger: I would have definitely murdered the hero.
Me: LMAO. Yep pretty much. Also wondering about the requester...
2. GH fandom...
Poster: I don't understand why people hate the villainess who has gaslight the heroine, and set her up, using the possibility of her dead son being alive ...as the means.
Me: Really? You really don't get why we hate that storyline? Alrighty then.
Poster: And saying you will stop watching a show simply because you hate the storyline is akin to having a tempertantrum.
Me: Okay...and whining about people complaining about it..is what exactly? Mature?
Poster: And we all need to watch, and band together to ensure that it doesn't get cancelled.
Me: Well, I seriously doubt the network or studios are going to care if I watch the show or not. If they did, Lucifer wouldn't have been cancelled.
Poster: Wait. Lucifer got cancelled?? Noooo! When?
ME: Fox cancelled Lucifer. I have no control. They can cancel or not cancel. Unless you are a Neilsen watcher, they do not care. Just watched Deception, and they've cancelled that too. So, I really wouldn't worry that much about whether or not I watch this or any show for that matter.
Poster: LOL!
3. NY Times: Apparently North Korea decided to pull back on peace talks with South Korea because of the US doing military drills with South Korea.
Me: Stupid US may screw this whole thing up yet.
Trump: See? I'm going to get that Nobel Peace Prize...if I have to yank it from their hands myself.
Me: Is it just me or is the world crazy? Oh and Tom Wolf died.
4. New York 1: All service is suspended on Metro North Trains, 1000 people stranded at Grand Central Terminal. Over 7000 stranded on subways due to monster storm.
Me: Dodged that bullet. Thank you, Universe. I got home about five minutes before storm from hell hit.
