Oct. 22nd, 2018 10:55 pmSo, The Complete Works of HP Lovecraft was only $2.99 for Amazon Kindle today. And I bought it. I know no shame. Amazon Kindle is wickedly dangerous for people like myself who require chaperones when they enter a book store.
Started Atremis by Andy Weir which has gotten mixed reviews. So far it's not bad and holding my attention. But it should be noted that I'm only 8% of the way into the book, and I've been in a huge reading slump -- mainly because I think I finally burned out on romance novels.
Mother: All I can seem to do right now is read historical romance novels and uhm..eat sweets.
Me: So you're basically curled in bed reading a romance novel and eating bon-bons?
Mother: Actually the couch.
Me: All you are missing is a small fluffy white dog.
Mother: No, a fluffy white cat, on my lap. Don't want a dog. And I can't even tell them apart. I go get one on Amazon and it tells me that I already bought it, which means I probably already read it.
Me: Yes, they do tend to be a bit alike. All those heaving Dukes, and gasping Ladies...
