1. Deadpool has a Christmas movie apparently?
Once Upon a Deadpool -- the PG-13 Deadpool Christmas Movie.
I know, right?
[ETA: No, sorry, worse than I thought...it's a re-release of the R-rated Deadpool film as PG-13, because apparently it was supposed to be for kids. So..what they took out all the curse words? But kept the graphic violence? Because we don't care if our kids and teens see someone blow people up, chop them up, or use a machine gun...but the word "Fuck" -- no, no, must not see that? Okay. Also a blatant effort by Fox to make more money.]
2. Guess who also has a Christmas episode/special?
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Christmas Episode coming to Netflix in December..
Okay.
3. In other news..
Me: My mother set up her Xmas tree last night so my niece and brother could help her -
Lando: That's nothing. She's doing pretty good. We put ours up in September.
Me: September??? What about Halloween? Do you not celebrate?
Lando: Wasn't my idea. Best I could do was get her to keep the lights off.
Me: It's decorated?
Lando: Yep. And she wants to keep it up until April. They (Phillipines) don't like to let go of Christmas. If she had her way we'd have it up all year long.
4. Reading the list of stuff coming and going from Netflix, and I'm thinking..whoa...they have direct to theater releases on NETFLIX? I don't have to go to the theater to see this? Cool. Would be nice if I could find and they'd tell me.
Apparently the cult Japanese classic Battle Royal and Battle Royal 2 is on Netflix (where Suzanne Collins got her idea for Hunger Games, and Quentin Taratino got his for Kill Bill -- or think Hunger Games but with a lot more violence, a higher death toll and on an island.) If you want to see it be quick about it --it's leaving Dec 10.
Roma (the highly touted black and white film) and Bird Box (Sandra Bullock's sci-fi thriller) are coming December, along with Watership Down. And the Cohen Brothers latest is already there.
