1. Plugged in my music and took a lengthy walk around Prospect Park today. Even with all the people hanging about, saw a couple of cardinals, various geese, swans and mallard ducks. Also managed to find a little time here and there, with no people, just me and the trees.

Lovely day, in the low 70s, with a crisp breeze and a bright blue sky.

Actually felt like I was in a forest at times. Also spent some time looking out over the lake.

2. Barry S2 Finale

Barry surprised me. Season 2 is hilarious. Much better than S1, which I found to be a bit on the slow side.

The satire regarding the film, theater and television world is on target. No, Hollywood isn't interested in telling us good and honest stories, Hollywood is interested in making money.

It's violent, but hard to take too seriously -- because satire. Bill Handler, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, and Henry Wrinkler are all rather amazing in it.

3. Talked a co-worker into sticking with Lucifer and another one found it on Netflix and is watching. Did not convert my mother yet. I rather liked Season 4, it is by far the best of the series to date -- and was helped greatly by the move to Netflix. Although S2, remains a favorite as well. The problem it had with Fox was well Fox wanted a light fluffy but dark procedural -- sort of similar to 9-1-1, and eh, Lucifer isn't meant to be that.

That said? Netflix is weird. I have no idea why it cancels or renews things. There's no clear rhyme or reason to it. Sense8 -- sort of made sense, it was expensive and the writers were nutty about their production schedule. But it does appear to be swinging a wee bit too heavily towards teen content, if it continues in that direction -- I'm cancelling my subscription and picking up Hulu or CBS All Access instead. I'm not interested in family and teen oriented dramas.

4. Discovery of Witches -- I'm all caught up on finally. Just haven't seen the season finale. It's better than expected, the casting is rather good, and Matthew Good as the romantic lead is an interesting and captivating choice. He's extremely sensual and attractive, without being well, hunky. I like that. Also the series is diversely cast -- which is a nice change of pace. Series in 2019 seem to be more diverse than series that began in 2009, this is a good thing.

I'm hooked at any rate. And it's already been renewed for a second season, so no problems there. I'm tired of getting hooked on television shows only to find out they've been cancelled.

Speaking of final seasons? Legion is ending this year. Not surprised about that, but thought I'd warn you.

5. I think a storm is brewing, I'm irritable, and feel a headache coming on -- this happens whenever a storm is coming. I swear -- I'm like a human weather vane.
