Jun. 28th, 2019 08:37 pm1. I love this time of night...the light is soft, with streaks of pink in the sky fading to lavender, it's quiet, and I can hear birds tweeting. Current apartment is for the most part rather quiet and has a nice residential feel. I forget I'm in the city, which is of the good. The city can get to me at times. It's why I've chosen not to ever live in Manhattan proper again. I've faced the fact that I'm a Brooklyn gal. It's Brooklyn or bust. (Bust meaning -- moving to the suburbs and buying a self-driving car that will most likely kill me.)
I even heard a tweeting bird a while ago. All quiet now though. I think it went to sleep.

3. The combination of work, getting a dentist appointment, and the commute has made me a wee bit misanthropic of late. By weeks end, I have an overwhelming urge to throttle folks with snark.
By the way, out of 9,396 dentists under my insurance plan and in my area, only two were board certified, and one of them was in Edge Hill, NJ, which is not 25 miles from me, I'm sorry. ( Read more... )
4. Came home to swimsuits I'd ordered via Amazon -- one fit, one sort of fit, one did not...considering not wearing the swimsuit except two or three times this summer, I'm not worried. I refused to spend a great deal of time or money on them. Particularly since I'm undoubtedly going on a diet soon. I just keep procrastinating it.
I tend to eat the wrong things when I get frustrated, restless, lonely and bored. To cheer self up. It unfortunately has the added bonus of added poundage.
Debating hunting a better Takini Top.
5. Addicted to two long-running serials and frustrated with both at the moment.
They had some good storylines, but the writers are getting bogged down with sermonizing and not delivering the character moments to the annoyance of many. As a result, said writers are on the verge of being booted.
Folks? Sermonizing is for church not comic books and soap operas.
People watching and reading these things just want to be entertained and enjoy the characters, they really don't care about the social issue of the month, they can watch the news, twitter, or go to church for that.
That said, I am rather curious as to how they'll handle a new writing team or a reboot? And how they'll wrap up the current story-threads prior to it?

Exactly. Finally someone has found a way to put this into words.
(And yes, monsters are real. Trump is proof of that. Hello. Aliens on the other hand have not visited us yet, because if they did, the monsters would be dead and this would not be a problem.)
