Random bits on my mind
Jul. 2nd, 2019 09:10 pm1. I haven't spoken to Wales aka former BFF in a while...we're debating seeing Antigone in Ferguson, but reservations are needed, and well...that doesn't work with Wales.
Wales finally quit evil law firm after about fifteen years. And as far as I know is unemployed at the moment.

( Wales decides to become a librarian )
( Wales has decided her cats are really the evil twin girls in the Shining )
2. Well, it was only a matter of time...but.. Lifetime is making a movie based on the NXIVM Sex Cult
3. What Was in the added footage in the re-release of The Avengers: Endgame
( synopsis )
And, yes, I'm very glad I resisted the temptation to rewatch it for the footage. (I didn't have to work that hard -- I may be a Marvel fan, but I'm not that much of a Marvel fan.) So not worth rewatching a three and half hour film (including previews and credits, and now thirty minutes of additional footage -- so actually four hour film.)
4. In the WTF is fandom thinking department...there's this charmer from the Buffy fandom, well answered by itsnotmymind (cool name by the way) Why Angel deciding to wipe all her memories, and become a vampire again is not the same as Spike deciding to get a soul
Apparently somebody attempted to compare the two? I can see it now...
Spuffy shipper: "Angel decided to turn back time, wipe Buffy's memories, and return to his vampire self without asking her opinion or talking to Buffy first."
BANGLE Shipper: "Well, Spike's not so great either...he went and got a soul without telling Buffy, so there!"
Rest of fandom: WTF? Really? They are obviously NOT the same thing.
5. Been sleeping erratically lately, also have digestive issues -- hence the erratic sleeping. Working on that. ( Read more... )
6. Halfway through "Where Crawdads Sing by Delia Owens" -- I'm enjoying it. The Good Reads reviews are all over the place. A couple of reviewers had issues with the believability of a ten year old girl surviving all alone in Marshland, and no one doing anything about it. (Actually they thought she was six when her father left, but it's clear she's closer to ten. The brother and mother left when she was six.)
I mentioned this to my mother, who rec'd the book to me, and she agreed with me that this is actually believable.( Read more... )
7. New icon is me as a peanuts character -- they had this thing on the internet where you could design your own peanuts avatar based on your general physical description and yes, I know, I look like Marcy. Although I think I have more in common with Linus. Or possibly Woodstock.
