1. Just finished watching my two favorite new television shows (so far) and both held up pretty well on the second episode.

(As an aside, I don't expect any of you to agree with me, so far I haven't found a soul who does...highly frustrating that, but it is what it is. Finding folks who love the same things I do is difficult and always has been. I don't really know why this is, just that it is. And when I do find them, they love it in a way that...well is bewildering to me.
sigh we like what we like...finding like minded souls...on the other hand... )

2. Bought a water pick flosser. Tried it out tonight and proceeded to spray myself, the bathroom and the kitchen wall (when I moved into the kitchen) with water. That dang thing takes practice. Also didn't dislodge the food from the tooth. I had to do that with floss.

And when I came home -- there was another sign in the window. This one alerting me that there was no cold water in the building. That the oil pump had broken, and they were awaiting the boiler mechanic to fix it.

So I go upstairs, expecting no cold water and wondering what flushing will be like...and there is cold water. If anything the hot water isn't as much in evidence and took a while to come out. Alrighty then. Also they plugged my stove/oven back in, so the clock was blinking.

This is odd. They told us over the weekend there would be no hot water Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning, but there was hot water when I came home on Monday and before I left this morning. So apparently half a day meant -- literally 12-5pm, and 7-12pm?

I'm not really complaining, I'm just confused. And somewhat relieved that it was a false alarm.

3. Trying a Bible Study course through the Unitarian Universalist Society that I attend, tomorrow night. The Minister is doing the Hebrew text sessions, while the group members will handle the New Testament sessions. (I knew our Minister was Jewish! I find this amusing. I'm going to a Christian Demonational Church with a Jewish Minister. My mother says it doesn't know what it is...she's not wrong. But to be fair, neither do I religiously speaking.)

It's at 6:30 tomorrow night. Meaning, I rush home, change, eat dinner, and rush out again...this may not work, we'll see.

The church hasn't tried it before -- so they aren't sure it is going to work either.
I'm bringing my Catholic Bible to a study group run by a Hebrew Minister, focusing on the Hebrew portion of the Bible. Hee Hee Hee.

This my attempt to be spiritual and find a social life outside of the work place.
