1. Fast Company Dissects the alleged downfall of Benioff and Weiss...who have signed a lucrative deal with Netflix for undisclosed projects... (They aren't the only ones who did that. Whedon keeps doing that. It seems to be a thing for television show-runners and producers. George RR Martin also keeps doing it.)

It was mentioned that they said some interesting tidbits about their process regarding GoT at the Austin Film Festival. So, curious, I looked it up.

Benioff and Weiss Reflect on Games of Thrones Writing Process at Austin Film Festival Panel -- What they actually said

Oh, that was REALLY interesting. Their words were completely misunderstood by various people, twisted, and taken out of context. They didn't say any of the things that Fast Company and other outlets said they did.

Wow. People really do hear or read what they want to, don't they? They didn't say any of the things that people accused them of saying. We mishear things so much. Or misread. When I was arguing with folks on fanboards back in the day, I lost track of how many times they'd twist my words to serve their own argument. And even now, I keep seeing people misread my posts...sometimes in hilarious and head-scratching ways. I'll think, WTF, people? Did you jump into a parallel dimension and read a post by a parallel me that is the exact opposite of this one? Or...

And at work, it happens constantly. It happened while in Hudson with my brother, who often misunderstood things I was saying. And my boss often misunderstands me. I think it's because we trust our own perceptions a bit too much, and don't take into account that sometimes we miss things or our mind doesn't quite process it right?

My biggest take-away from the last several years has been how carefully I have to listen and read things. That I need to double and triple check sources, and information provided to me. Because it's so easy to make a mistake and also the information being provided may not be accurate. Often things are mangled in transference.

3. House Voted 232 to 196 to Start Impeachment Hearings.

This whole thing is just frustratingly painful and fury inducing.

American public to US Government: Impeach the crooked bastard already, and move on to more important matters.

But, hey, the Doofus relocated to Florida. He has changed his state residency from New York to Florida -- possibly because New York has filed over 100 lawsuits criminal and civil against him since he took office. He gets out of office - or is impeached, NY may throw him in jail. I keep hoping a hurricane will hit Florida while he's there and take him, his family, his resort out to sea.

Gov of NY to the Doofus? Good Riddance.
