Also the heat is off - which in of itself is enough to celebrate. Although still got the sweaty hot flash walking to and from the pharmacy to get envelopes - so I can mail in my lease agreement. Decided to go for another two year lease. Watch in August, something will go wrong with my apartment again, and I'll go through another six months of construction. That's been the pattern to date.

I'm not ready to look, and I'd have to at least four months prior to this one's expiration. If you decide to leave - you have to provide a Notarized Letter of Intent, and an address to send your security check.

My brother's company, except for niece's boyfriend has left. (In other words the company he wanted left - before the sun came out, and the company he could have done without stayed.)

Finished Panic - which surprised me. It had a lot of plot twists, all of which tracked, and only a few that I figured out. One I kind of accidentally got spoiled on - hunting information on the book. (Note the book's villain and the television series villain apparently is NOT the same. And this is a good thing. ) The television series from what I've been able to piece together form the internet is a lot better than the book.
The writer who adapted it from her own novel - uses the television format as a means of fully developing the characters, in particular the male characters whom she fully admits were poorly developed in her novel. For example - Ray Hall is a one-dimensional sociopath and bad guy, in her novel, with no redeeming qualities. Kind of the cliche bad boys. But the actor changed her mind - and she decided to change the character completely, give him a bit more depth, etc. Which required creating a new villain. This made the whole thing far more interesting to me. Because it subverted the formula. Usually in these things there's a bad boy that everyone has to defeat. I hate formulaic stories - if I can predict what happens next - I get bored and annoyed. It's my difficulty with the traditional publishing industry actually - they love formula and push it, I hate formula.

Anyhow "Panic" was an fun binge - I highly recommend it - if you have Amazon Prime that is.

Also finished Mare from East Town - which was an equally enjoyable series. One of the better mystery series that I've seen to date - with interesting and complex characters, and excellent writing. Also quite well cast. Held my interest throughout. I figured it out, but not too far ahead of the detective, actually we figured it out at the same time - which works best I think. If you get too far ahead, you get annoyed, and if you don't see it at all, you get annoyed. This tracked. And the plot twist is a painful one, but completely works.

I haven't really being doing much else. Felt a bit sluggish. Did robot vacuum yesterday, and meditated. Also took the aforementioned brief walk.
Don't really want to do much of anything. And kind of dreading the upcoming work-week. In short, have a case of the Sunday Scaries - except on Monday.
