Finding calm through positive pop culture items that don't make me want to scream.
Per Neil Gaiman:
The audio book version of Good Omens is coming to US on November 2nd - with Tennant and Sheen in the lead roles.
I may get it. I like audio books. Although admittedly the multiple voice ones are harder for me to follow.
I figured something out in discussing this with Gabe. If you are dyslexic it is sometimes easier to listen to an audio book and do something else with your hands at the same time. Or read and listen to the book at the same time.
The difficulty I have at times - is I will read something and I have no idea what I read. I'll read it again. And nope. A third time - finally.
Sometimes I have to read it aloud to get it. Made timed reading comprehension standardized testing a nightmare - as you can well imagine.
ETA: Do you ever think Hollywood and television writers are running out of ideas?

Babylon 5 Reboot with J. Michael StraczynskiI admittedly loved Bab5, I got my mother into it. I watched it instead of DS9, preferred it to DS9. (Oh some gossip? JMS sued the producers of DS9 for stealing his idea which he pitched to them, and became Bab5. I don't know if it is true, but I remember it being a big deal at the time. I actually met a few writers of DS9 at a party in NYC in the 1990s. And I told them I preferred Bab5, but had seen a few episodes - actually my favorite DS9 episode was written by one of them. We had a geeky conversation about sci-fi until Wales drug me away from the party, because she was bored.)
But do we need a reboot?
IDK.
I'm not feeling positive at the moment. Just cranky.
