Y2/264 - Allergies beating me up..
Dec. 6th, 2021 08:55 pmSpent most of the day worrying about whether my allergies were allergies or something else. Also the hot flashes, which came and went intermittently throughout the day. I turned a fan on at one point. Also my neck, shoulders, and back were killing me - from tension and sitting at my desk (I have the best chair I can get at work).

So, I came home and dusted. Also vacuumed. And changed the filters in two of my three air purifiers. I think if I can clean the air of my apartment from allergens as much as possible - this may help alleviate the symptoms of the allergies.
Weirdly, I am getting stuff done at work. So there's that at least. But I may ask to take Monday off instead of Friday - because apparently, there will be no power in my building from 8 Am to 4PM on Friday. Not the best day of the week to take off. So I might just push it to next Monday. It was originally supposed to be the 17. I need to do laundry - had planned to do it Friday or Thursday evening, but I may need to move it up a day.

Co-workers stated they are slowly getting used to being back in the office again, and the commute. So, alas am I. I'm actually getting used to wearing a mask all day long, except when I'm in my cubicle, and on all public transportation. Not everyone does. But you kind of get used to it. Also the vast majority do wear masks - most people care about their health and others, most people are kind. It's just a few assholes out there that make it hard on the rest of us.

Overcast today. Rained last night, and is raining tonight. Reached sixty degrees. And was in the fifties during the day. This is no doubt why I have sinus issues. A lot of folks do, I think.

Listened to Beatles music most of the day. The Beatles were interesting musicians, between them, they released 157 albums between 1963 and 2020, averaging almost three per year. McCartney alone wrote close to 500 songs. Lennon over 150 songs as a solo artist, and over 84 with the Beatles. George Harrison wrote 141 songs, and 22 for the Beatles. Ringo Starr wrote 20 songs, and 2 for the Beatles. Harrison actually was helping him with Octupus's Garden during the Get Back documentary.
Such a vast songbook. McCartney/Lennon also wrote songs that they sold to other bands in the early 1960s, while still in high school.
