1.) For those with the Post-Election Blues (yesterday was the Mid-Term election in the US, which ahem had mixed results):

The Day the Politicians Died by the Magnetic Fields

Regarding the election? I woke up this morning at 5:45 am, per usual, got myself together, made my oatmeal and watched NY1, which went through the election results. They do a better job than most of the channels on local and district races.

Damn you, Staten Island )

Ugh, Rockland County )

Oh well at least Lee Zeland lost to Hochel, but I knew he would. He's Long Island and a Trump Supporter - the City and Upstate would not vote for him.

The results were surprising in that, they expected a Red Wave, and didn't get it. Instead it was kind of split down the middle again - and it was historically the best showing for a sitting President in a long time. Obama lost both the Senate and the House in large margins, Trump lost the House.
Biden...it's unclear at the moment which way it will go.

Texas and Florida, I've no sympathy for - they deserve all the horrors that come their way. They kept their bigoted misogynistic nasty ass governors.
Although there were quite a few who fought to get rid of them, and failed.

But, Dr. Oz lost to Fetterman, thank god, flipping a Senate Seat in PA.

Overall, not much changed. We still have a divisive country and a dysfunctional government, who is too busy chasing its own tail to actually govern. I blame the donors and lobbyists, with their agendas. I want a campaign donation list for some of these candidates so I can boycott all the donors. Which could prove problematic if they happen to be my bank (can't switch that without major issues), credit cards, or phone service.
It's easier to boycott stuff I don't need to use.

2. Work is still trying to kill me. But I did manage to help someone, sort of, and resolve their issues - by finding a person who actually could solve the problem.

FM thanked me for it.

I feel overwhelmed at work. And I honestly am losing track of things.

3. I'm upset with myself. I had the Free Libre 3 sugar level check system before, but got COVID, and freaked out over it (having something stuck in your arm for two weeks is disconcerting), so stopped. Except it had brought my sugar levels down, and I'd lost weight on it. Now, they are way up. I weigh about the same, maybe slightly more.

Oh, well, I managed to cut my sugar and carbs (turns into sugar) intake by about 80% today. Had a little - to keep from crashing.
