Aug. 9th, 2023 10:16 pmIt occurs to me that I've been very whiny of late, sorry about that. But hey, I'm much better than I was last year - so there's that.
Was thinking today that I had a lot to be thankful for. Good job, with decent benefits, living in a city where I can get everywhere by train or foot, a few friends, decent church that shares my values, a commute that allows me to nap, read, listen to music and get exercise. Job also helps the city in which I live, aids others, promotes my own values, and is interesting. Add to all that? I'm on good terms with all of my relatives.
Could things be better? Yep. But I'm guessing everyone feels that way from time to time.
( Eh, gratitude post...at least for the most part )
It's possible I got a bit more sleep or am sleeping better, so am less crabby? Also taking a breather from work helped greatly.
I gave up on the supplements I bought for menopause ("Hot Mama", and "Balanced Babe"). Came to the conclusion they were causing the massive digestive issues. (Turns out they were, they went away when I stopped using them. I'm guessing me and Black Cahoush are unmixy things - it didn't agree with my Aunt either.)
Mother researched Ceiliac disease and discovered that besides severe IBS, side-effects include insomnia, dermatitis, joint pain, hot flashes, and night sweats. (I've not digested anything remotely gluten oriented for years...but okay.) Mother thinks sis-in-laws rash may be due to ceiliac disease. But honestly, it can be a lot of other things too.
