1. My Coworkers are annoying me.

Today, pesky co-workers, actually it was a pesky consultant, misspelled my last name. For a popular name? My name gets misspelled a lot. They misspell the last name, the first name, sometimes both, sometimes they flip them and misspell them. You'd think it would be easy enough, but no.

2. Doctor called to remind me to fast on Thursday. They are weird about this. If I actually do what they tell me to do - which is fast for 6-8 hours, I'll faint (low-blood sugar), and they'll go oops, why did you faint, you should eat? Why would I faint? Because I arrive at doctor's appointment and they don't take my blood when I get there, they make me wait an hour. To do pointless intake. Ask a bunch of questions while typing in the computer. Then take the blood.

So, instead, I eat breakfast (eggs and salad greens, have something similar around 10 or 11. And fast for about five hours. It's not pure fasting but close enough. Primary care told me that as long as I'm consistent, it's okay. This is after I almost fainted in her office.

I need to set up a dermatologist and dental appointment but keep procrastinating, because I don't want to.

Also need to buy furniture. I tend to procrastinate on buying furniture, televisions, phones, computers, and scheduling doctors that aren't primary care and absolutely necessary.

3. Dear god, There's a lot of television shows coming in the fall. And I've not yet made it through the current crop. I think this may well be the problem that the writers and actors are having in regards to their strike? They've generated too much content, so much, that no one cares?

I agree with them. But I also haven't exactly noticed?

I mean - if no one were to write, produce, act in etc a film or television show for about ten years? I'm not sure we'd notice?

There's 60 new television shows being added, that I'm aware of. Or rather just 60 that the AV Club felt like talking about. Remember when we had magazines talk about the new season of television shows and films being released? Now there's so many television shows and movies that the critics don't even try to watch all of them. Or comment on them. The magazines? The print ones are out of print. And the online versions don't bother covering everything.

So there's probably more like 1,000 (including reality and game shows).

Oh, HBO MAX (or just MAX) is adding AMC + shows to its roster. So, if you never saw all three seasons of Discovery of Witches (I only saw two) - they are showing up on MAX in September.

While TV Line Just Does up to 32 new Shows.

I have no idea how many are being released, I don't think anyone does.

I kind of feel overwhelmed by them. Too many television shows. There's about a 100 shows in every genre and for literally every taste. If you like sports shows? They are available. Game shows? Yep. Romance? Yep. LGBTA? Yep. Spy? Yep. Baking? Yup. K-Drama? Yup. Anime? Yup. Fantasy? Yup. Science Fiction? Yup....you just have to figure out where they are and how to find them. But trust me on this - it's there. There is no stone left unturned.

Whether they are any good or not is another discussion entirely.

Oh, as an aside, is it just me or is Jon Hamm being cast in practically everything under the sun? He's in Good Omens, he's in Grimsburg, new animated series, he's in the new season of Fargo...that man has been busy.

4. Making my way through Killers of the Flower Moon - and what they did to the Osage Tribe is ....devastating. Everyone in that tribe lost someone as a result of the murders. The book is told in three stages, part I is the about the murders and the Osage hunt for Justice. Part II is about the FBI's investigation into the Murders. And Part III is the aftermath, and it investigates and opens up the information that Hoover didn't release to the public or let known, the truly dark stuff.

And I'm thinking there's more? There's actually something darker than what I just went through? Gad.
