Haven't done as much editing this weekend - mainly because I needed a break from the computer screen. It happens.

Well, I've narrowed my Winter/Spring European vacation plans to Spain (and possibly Portugal, depending on the tour) - and the following tour companies:

* OAT - Lisbon to Barcelona - it's a cruise, but about 88-89 people, and it doesn't go to the Alhumbra - which is not to be missed. Too expensive, and too much time in Portugal.
* Rick Stevens is the Best of Andalucia Spain - focus on Southern Spain - cheaper than OAT, which is the most expensive and longest. This is about 10 days. There's a 14 day one too.
* and G Adventures - Best of Southern Spain - I actually like G Adventure's tour, and it's by far the most affordable.
* . Trafalgar Tours - Spainish Wonders (also not as expensive as OAT or as long). I have five weeks, but BYT has already let me know she's reluctant to approve more than one week of vacation. Although, we have people who can cover and I have a right to my vacation time. And if I'm taking it in the Spring - it shouldn't be an issue.

Road Scholar appears to be bit too lecture oriented for my taste. I'd rather be wandering about, then sitting in a room listening to a lecture. I don't like lectures - they tend to put me to sleep. Did in school. Do now. Rather interact with it. Also, what's the point of a lecture when you can see it in person?

It appears April is best. Almost too cold in the Winter months. So either April or May. I can't do the fall until I retire.

Finished Virgin River on Netflix (it has the second portion of the season arriving November 30). Been watching Sullivan's Crossing on CW Streaming - which is about the same, Virgin River is slightly better on a production scale (mainly because Netflix). They are both adapted from books by the same writer, and follow the same canonical tropes. One takes place in Nova Scota, the other in Washington State. If you like one, chances are, you will like the other.

After that, wandered off for a walk, and found the new book store in the area. It's called Lofty Pigeon Book. Bought a collection of Ghost Stories by Jeannette Winterson, entitled Night Side of the River - which is in hard cover and fairly large print. From now on, I'm only buying larger print paperback or hard cover, if they aren't e-book. Mainly because they last longer, I can read them, and less likely hood of book mold/dust issues. Bookstores had pretty much disappeared prior to the pandemic, but they are now making a comeback in a huge way. In 2014 - 2021 we had one book store in my general vicinity of Brooklyn, maybe two (and one was a Barnes & Nobel). Now? We have seven. So progress? Book stores (regardless of my complaints in the past) make me happy.

And I bought another journal. I swear - I have more journals than I know what to do with. This one is pretty with evergreens on the cover.

About four stores down from the book store was The Gilded Grape - a hole in the wall wine and spirits store - kind of upscale and cute. I got two can cocktails - White Russian and a Margarita, which will last me two days, since they are (soda size) cans, and I tend to drink half of them. I'm not much of a drinker.

All in all a relaxing day. Intend on getting up early tomorrow morning and doing laundry - hopefully, I'll be the only one with this idea. It's the last day that we can do it before they replace the machines.

So, guessing Marvels can be seen on television, and doesn't absolutely have to be seen in theaters, unless in a hurry?
