I don't understand Hollywood's obsession with remaking A Star Is Born. I've probably seen the 1937 version, but don't remember it. The 1954 version is one of my least favorite Judy Garland pictures. (It was on again on one of the back channels I watch a few months ago. I saw enough of James Mason acting creepy in just a minute or two, before I switched channels.) When I heard Streisand and Kristofferson were doing it, I thought good luck to them, but don't expect me to pay to see it. I've seen bits and pieces of it on TV, but haven't wanted to see it through. ( Honestly, I don't think I've seen a movie with Kristofferson that he wasn't miscast in. I guess he looks more like a actor than he actually is.) I know they redid it again recently. I don't know or care with whom.
