shadowkatStill staggered by being horribly gaslit at work last week, I've been struggling to distract myself on a cold, dismal rainy weekend. Mix of snow and rain. Winter storm, my foot. More like a half-assed attempt by it.
I binged Blue Eyed Samuri S1 yesterday and it is among the best "adult" animated series that I've seen to date.
I want to emphasize that it is adult, and rated TV-MA (mature audiences only). There is graphic sex, nudity, and violence in this series. It is definitely for age 17 and above. While sexual violence is implied (it is not shown). The series is "feminist" and written/produced by women. But I did not find it preachy, it leans heavily into show not tell.
I was blown away by it, and want more. Good news? Netflix renewed for a second season, it was among the last of the renewals of 2023.
It's probably best to go in blind.
