Nah, she was doing an analogy. She loved order. The world felt chaotic and unsafe. I was pointing out that fascism isn't the best answer - since that only works if you agree with the fascist regime and their values and moral world view, etc align with yours. If not, you're in hell. Most people don't realize that. If you want rights? The people you vehemently disagree with have to have them too.
ETA: of course it helps that I think metaphorically and am highly analytical. I don't tend to think literally. In short I reacted like Mr. Spock not Captain Kirk.
