It can be an age thing too. The older I get the less impressed I am with literary 'cleverness.'

I think so, yes. Pretty much everyone but Kelley Armstrong could see that 'real' angels had no place in the Angelverse.
I'd love to see what some of the fanfic writers out there would have done with it.
I have read one story by

where Spike had lost his soul. She wrote it for
plot_wout_porn
last year. I enjoyed that.
