shadowkatAfter a stressful day - things got so much better.
1. Move to Manhattan. Found out that I'm definitely moving, just a matter of when. Since I'm off on Monday, Breaking Bad advised me to pack everything up - just in case they moved me on Monday. He was getting pressured by the Queens group.
I finally did what I should have done a while ago. I contacted Lawyer. And Lawyer got some vital information for me. Go Lawyer!
Lawyer: I seriously doubt you'll be moving Monday. They don't even have Breaking Bad's office built yet. I went by today - and they still don't have a door on it, nor have they replaced the glass wall - so that no one can see inside. And that was the case three days ago, I don't see them doing it on Monday.
Me: so, sometime next week.
Lawyer: More like sometime in January, they are targeting next year.
Me: Did you see my cubicle.
Lawyer: Yes, you are near BB's office, and next to a window, you are somewhat isolated, with only one cubicle near you, and your back to back.
Me: Do you know who it is?
Lawyer: ALD (ALD - is the lovely young woman who exudes positive energy and was a art history major - that I trained back in 2023 before she went full time to the Manhattan location. )
Me: Oh that's perfect. And I'm near BB and I'm guessing ALD's boss?
Lawyer: Yup. And doing the same thing. ALD's boss is next to BB, and he's a true pleasure to work for.
ME: Once BB retires, they'll probably assign me to ALD's boss...
Lawyer: Yup, and he's wonderful to work for.
ME: Can you verify the cubicle and timeline -
Lawyer: I can, I'll check with M on Monday.
Me: Thank you so much! Thank you! You've made my weekend ! I hope you have a wonderful one!
2. Amazon came through, go figure.
In other words, after fretting about getting packages today (one that had been delayed and was coming Fed Ex) and the XMas gift from Momma that was coming from Amazon and being delivered to the LOCKER.
Mother emailed me the confirmation. When I got home, I saw the Ryka package from Fed Ex, and took out a canvas bag from Loews to carry it and the other package to my apartment up stairs. Then I took out my phone, found my mother's email, and clicked on the "Start Up" button in the email, which in turn took me directly to my Amazon Shopping App, it verified it, and then voila clicked open the Locker.
I'm so relieved. I took both boxes upstairs. No worries.
