My thoughts exactly. Maybe Crichton was on to something? I honestly thought at the time I read Jurassic Park - oh our regulations will stop that and people aren't that stupid. Sigh, I've since realized that I've grossly underestimated the human capacity for stupidity. If they can engineer a way to send everything toppling over a cliff - they will do it.
