They just weren't necessarily Christian. Good point. That sounds like the issue exactly. I'm glad to hear your church names the land it's on, and I will just hope that someone gently addressed it at some point.
The choir sounds really good, especially for high school kids. But yeah, not quite my kind of choir music either, although I do like Hungarian folk music as part of liking Balkan folk music generally.
