Hanging in there...anybody know a good tear-jerker?

1. Does anyone know of a really good tearjerker (preferably something I've not seen and doesn't cost anything). ie. A movie or television series that makes you sob or cry really hard? I'm trying to clear my sinuses, and a really good cry would aid in that tremendously.

I tried the Angel S5 Episodes A Hole in the World and Shells, but alas didn't help. Possibly because I'd seen them before, and I prefer Illyria and Illyria/Wes to Fred and Fred/Wes. I guess I could watch The Body again? But I re-watched recently, so not sure that would work.

2. Oh, weird take away from A Hole in the World (Whedon) and Shells (DeNight)? I preferred Shells, which was written and directed by Stephen DeKnight - that writer has the best written episodes overall, making me think I should try Spartacus at some point. He also did the first few seasons of Daredevil with Drew Goddard. And, in Angel S5? The writers are directing all their own episodes. [Why? The writing is a little more clever, and interesting? And less overtly sentimental. Also, I felt that every character has a really good scene in it - including dare I say, Harmony. I like DeKnight - I've been following him on Twitter for a bit, he's also one of the writers who stood with Charisma and against Whedon on Twitter, when everything came out.] DeKnight really seems to pick up on the subtle differences between each character and how they relate and why. DeKnight co-wrote the penultimate episodes Seeing Red (he wrote the Spike scenes in that episode) and Destiny (he convinced Fury that Spike should win the fight).

3. Another weird tidbit -in response to a question about what he remembers most from filming the episode Smashed, in a recent Youtube Con Q&A, Marsters highlights the chandelier stunt (where Spike jumps onto the Chandelier and flies into Buffy?) - he wanted to do the stunt himself (because it would be a better take), but Jeff (the stunt coordinator) said no, no, that stunt is mine, I'm taking that one - and explained why. He said, it was a highly dangerous stunt because the chandliere's tips were pointed like daggers, and if you did anything wrong, anything at all, or something went awry, it could come crashing down on you, dagger tips and all - and if it did - it would kill you. So Jeff, the head stunt coordinator, does the stunt? And the first one is okay. But they have to do another take because of lighting or something, and the second take - is when the chandliere comes down on Jeff's face. Jeff is taken to the emergency room. They finish the shoot - not knowing if Jeff lived or died. After they finish - everyone inclusive of all the actors, crew, director, etc - races to the hospital and fills the waiting room, waiting to here if the stunt coordinator survived. He did. Had all sorts of stitches across his face and came to work a few days later. Stunt people are nuts.
The reason I love Marsters Q&A's and interviews - is he doesn't really talk about personal crap or himself all that much, he talks about the process of filming television series, theater, acting in various mediums, and the backstage or all the stuff that goes into creating a television series. I find what people do for a living fascinating - or the process of creating a work of art really interesting. (I'm not sure that's nerdy so much as geeky? Since I could care less about the minutia.)

4. I'm obviously feeling much better today. Even made it into work, which is a good thing - since my doctor's note stated I could come back today.

Crazy Org requires that I fill out what amounts to an on-site injury workers comp claim form (which most doctor's refuse to sign or avoid), and if I can't get the doctor to fill it out, fill it out myself and attach the doctor's note or receipt of proof of a doctor's visit to it. NYU Langone will fill out and sign it - but you have to fill out most of it for them (it confuses them) and they can only do it - if they have access to items you post to the portal - and it takes 2-3 business days for them to sign it - if you attach it. (HR requires the form within one day of my return to work).

Of course a lot of the doctors refuse to sign it - it's a on-site worker's comp injury form, because Crazy Org is too lazy to create separate forms for sick leave of union workers, worker's comp claim, and extended on-site injury sick leave. Instead they've rolled up them all up in one form for expediency and maximum confusion.

The difficulty with Government Agencies is the insane number of forms. It's why they are bureaucratic. The reason for the forms - it's how they resolve all sorts of problems. Someone does something wrong? They create a form to ensure it doesn't happen or they can track it or punish the people who do in the future. (Apparently a lot of folks abuse sick time - and take it when they don't need it or require it.)

Sometimes I threaten my Doctor's - with - I'll sign your forms if you sign mine. It doesn't always work.

So the process is - get doctor's note (which is - "we saw shadowkat on this date, and she is okay to go back to work on this date"), download from health portal, save as PDF, fill out PDF form. Print off both. Sign Form. Scan both. Copy both. Take to Breaking Bad. Send forms to HR as attachment. This is for any time taken as Sick Leave, even if the form specifically states it's only required on the second day, or next occurrence within a specific period. But the HR clerks don't read their own forms and refuse to abide by them, and will mark you if you don't get one and send it in for EVERY single occurrence. (So say I feel woozy one morning or didn't sleep at all the night before and can't make it to work? I have to get a doctor's note if I want to call in sick - which involves spending $25 to see a doctor and convince them to send me a note or fill out the stupid form.

What happens if I don't send in the form? I get points against me. If you get multiple marks against you - you can end up being suspended, awaiting trial for potential firing, etc. This happens to a lot of folks. People were actually forging doctor's notes and signatures on the forms at one point. Other's had deals with their doctors or urgent care - would go in complaining of a bad stomachache and get the form signed.

Sigh. The liars make it hard on the rest of us.

Still have it though. Ended up taking an Aleve this morning, along with two Dramamine prior to leaving the house. The Aleve/Dramamine combo has been working. Did it again around 11 Am. That and the anti-biotics. Still have the residual cough and chest congestion. This is that odd respiratory virus that's been going around pretending to be a cold, which lingers forever and ends up becoming a sinus infection. Not happy about the Aleve or the Antibiotics - which are going to play havoc on the digestive system. I need to take probiotics again, and maybe do Kimichi or Kraut, not a Kimichi fan, so probably Kraut.

Decided not to do laundry. I wanted to. But my body - was like, nope. Not happening. Also had to cancel Friday's PT. This is putting me way into April. Damn it. Stupid cold. Stupid sinus infection. Ugh, can we go back to having mild winters, please? That said - I am doing some of the exercises. Just not anything that requires lying down flat on my back.

I was on a team that was studying a chemical in tears, which means we had to make people cry, we used this:

The first 10 minutes of the Disney movie Up, if you have not seen it, will make you go through a box of tissues.
