Anthony Stewart Head dies at 72.

I loved watching him perform - first fell in love with him - watching him on stage in London's West End Production of CHESS, he'd taken over his brother Murray Head's role. (Yes, I saw Anthony not Murray. They don't look the same.)

Then Taster's Choice commercials, then VR5, and I followed him to Buffy - I started watching Buffy because of Head.

I'll miss him.

Ugh, this is the third actor to die from the central Buffy cast in the last three years.

I saw him on stage in 2017 production of Rattigan's Love in Idleness at the Menier Chocolate Factory theatre in South London - very good.

I always liked to see/hear him in things, a sad loss, especially not that old by modern standards.

Babylon 5 didn't do well for cast mortality either.

It's not been a good year for cast members, has it? This is quite a loss. Such a talented man, and so young to have left us.

He's amazing on stage. He riveted me as Freddie Trumper/the American in Chess - in 1987.

Yeah, people on Threads wanted to wrap James Marsters in bubble wrap. I found the loss of Head painful. But, he lost his wife and the love of his life six months prior....so it kind of reminds me of Johnny Cash, who died shortly after June Carter Cash.

Not that old at all. He's just shy of two years older than my boss. I think his wife's passing six months ago possibly contributed ...

Sarah Michelle Gellar's tribute to him on Instagram made me cry.

That seems to be quite common- when one partner goes, the other soon follows.

just a couple of days ago, there was an announcement that Marjane Satrapi died, at only 56, apparently of broken heart after a death of her husband...

I feel so bad for SMG here, I also was in tears

Some of the tributes on Instagram had me in tears - Hannigan, SMG, and various folks who worked with him.
