Odd the number of people who got the email. Does explain what's going on though - she's probably either a marketing person doing a survey for an agency or a student during an online survey. I'm thinking undergrad or high school due to the lack of credentials and format of the email.
And she does note in the email that she is undergrad or high school level - therefore unlikely to have any academic credentials. Or she could be someone like myself who is just writing an online paper - and similarily has none.

Flattery is an effective approach though. People are more likely to respond to flattery or keep reading than someone just sending you an email asking a question. Or at least I am.

Question: Would you have responded to the email if she had listed that she was a tenured professor at a university? Or just a high school student writing a paper?

Similarily - would have you responded if the flattery wasn't in the email and she listed credentials instead?
