LJ is still struggling or maybe its just me?
Watching Dancing with the Stars which I DVR'd on a whim on Tuesday or was it Monday, one or the other. Didn't do Wed or the results show, because I just want to watch the dancing. So no idea who got booted. My guess is Kirstie Alley, although I like her - because I identify with the struggles in weight and having a big bone structure and big boobs. Also struggling to dance well,
although she does dance better than I do.
The best by far were Romeo and his partner, and Chelsea and Quinn. Both beautifully done. Agree with the judges on that one. I went through a period in the 1990s in which I was obsessed with ballroom dancing and figure skating. I blame Strictly Ballroom for the dancing craze, the figure skating was due to Torell and Dean - the British Dance Skating pair that blew me away. Then like all things I get obsessed with, I eventually grew bored and moved on to something else. There's no telling what will kill the obsession, but once it happens...
Ah, Kendra is up. So I guess it's not over yet. Ohhh...I like the song. Ricky Martin. Although I think all she did was shake her booty. There were some cool dance steps in there though. So maybe not. Momster is right - Dancing with the Stars is definitely about sex. Bruno...even uh sort of propositioned her back. Then the announcer gets back at Bruno by showing vids of his backup dancing on an old Elton John video. But I agree with the votes...which were sort of nice.
Hines and Kym are quite good, or I just have a weakness for waltzs...plus the dresses are so pretty. Prefer the blue one, the pink one looks like something out of cheap tv movie harem. The foot work with Romeo was possibly better.
Wow, Ralph Macchio looks sooo different. I can tell it's him but he has not aged well. He was big in the 1980s, with the Outsiders and The Karate Kid flicks. And he really can't dance, making me wonder how much of that was actually him during the karate kid flicks. Very stiff. The feet are okay. But she's doing all the work.
I like the dancing, but the interviews and commentary get on my nerves, plus all the commercials you have to fast-forward during. Ugh. How do people stand it?
Tried watching Grey's Anatomy tonight but so not in the mood. And the outdoors smells like a wet sock - so I'm guessing rain. Maybe I'll close that window. No, that's my air purifier. Ugh. Not sure why this one emits that odor, its the same brand as the other one and it never did.
Things I need to do but can't get myself to do: 1) Go apartment shopping (I hate shopping unless it is for books, DVDs or CDS and currently stuff for ipod touch. Which may explain why I have so many.) 2) working on my novel and a synopsis, 3) editing the immigration forum summary I did for church and keep forgetting about, 4) going to gym and dieting. 5) hair cut (always a nightmare - because I can never find the same one, so it's always a risk.)
